I'm back!

Hi everyone,

I'm back!

Ive been really busy recently, so much has been happening in my personal life (but lets not go in to that) and has made things increasingly difficult recently.
More now, than ever Disney has become my saviour. If you looked at my room you can tell the amount of hours I spend looking and collecting Disney ornaments and stuff for my walls.

(Ive been asked quite a lot where I get some of my stuff from, so ill make another post soon!)

Also my main Disney news is... IVE BOOKED DISNEYLAND AGAIN!!!
On the 4th May i'll be swinging in to spring at my favourite place. I honestly didn't think I would be going back so soon but I cannot wait to let my hair down and be truly happy for a little while.

Recently I've become obsessed with Mary Poppins, after watching Saving Mr Banks, it has only enhanced my love for her and the true meaning behind an incredibly important story. So, it has only excited me even more that spring in Disney is all about this amazing woman, and I cannot wait to sit and watch her show every day (and probably ball my eyes out)!

Since I started this blog, I created a Disney instagram and i'm SO close to reaching 400 followers. I honestly can't believe it, I never imagined to share my love of Disney with so many people. I originally created it so I could have someone to put my Disney holiday photos, which on a daily basis make me happy, so I'm so glad that other people seem to be enjoying them too. Instagram has been a massive inspiration to me recently, i strive to better my photography and seeing other users perfect (i literally mean perfect) photos of some of the characters is something that id love to be able to achieve. Since I know I'm going back, I've bought my self a DSLR camera and I can't wait to try it and get even more photos! (I also get asked about the editing apps that I use, so i'll make a post on them soon!)
If you wanted to check out my page, id be very grateful! - @disneylifelover

Now that I have a new camera, I've become obsessed! Ive always had an interest in photography and I cannot wait to improve my skills. I recently went back to the Harry Potter Studios in London for the 5th time and i literally spent hours trying to get the perfect shot of the exhibits. But thats a whole new post!

With Uni, very quickly coming to an end, I cannot wait to enjoy the summer. Im determined to make this the best one yet.

What have you all been up to recently?

Bye for now,

Kel xx

Disneyland Paris 2014

 Trip report

Me (21) my brother K (15) and mum all staying in the sitting bull block at Cheyenne.

Monday - we left our house in Leicester at 8am to be at the airport in time for our flight at 12.10 at Birmingham airport. Good job we did as we had to redirect, but all was fine and boarded our plane on time! Landed 15 minutes early at CDG and had no problems at all! Ask for directions and found ourselves waiting for the VEA airport transfer. Was a complete scrum trying to get everyone on, the driver was not helpful and people trying to grab their children and bags as we were putting on ours at the same time was not great. But we got to the hotel safe and sound about an hour later. Checked in, dumped our bags and headed to the park for 5.15.
With only an hour until we had to be at cafe Mickey we didn't go into the parks but instead done some shopping. Once it was our booking time we headed to cafe mickey, got straight in and sat down. Was an amazing meal, we saw mickey, minnie, goofy, Pluto and tigger! We had ordered a birthday cake as it was my 21st birthday present. Before I knew it everyone was clapping and shouting birthday and mickey came running over hugging me and clapping. It was such an amazing experience and truly made my holiday.. Even on the first night! After our dinner we headed to the disneyland park and looked around some more shops. Bought our photo pass plus, set that up and then chose our spot to watch dreams. It was even more magical than I could have ever hoped for. I definitely welled up at the magic of it all.

Tuesday - We went down to breakfast at 7.15 to find the queue was out main reception door! Safe to say we didn't wait and headed back to the room to sort ourselves out for the parks. After breakfast in McDonald's we wandered straight in for our early morning hours and went straight to the teacups. They've been a firm favourite of mine all my life! We walked straight on and then headed to the horses. 10 minutes and we were on. Pinocchio was only 10 minutes too! After wandering around we queued to get in to adventure land. My brother ran to get fast passes for big thunder mountain whilst we took photos. Beautiful scenery and the sun was shining! We only had an hour to kill so explored the land and then bumped in to the Halloween parade. We were the other side of the castle and saw them through the window and then managed to get through to talk to them! Gaston, on my!
Following them out felt like we were apart of the parade, amazing! After running to get In front of the parade and a good spot considering we then realised it was our fast pass time! Queued for about 10 minutes and then went on. Scanned our photo pass at the counter and I checked on my phone and the BTM sign had already came up.. Brilliant! Me and my brother queued for Jack whilst mum went on molly maid. Jack was brilliant and was definitely the highlight of Ks holiday! He had the whole queue screaming and once it was my turn he got me to pull a scary face and then told me I'm taking over! Big hugs, scanned photo pass and we were on our way. Photos were on half an hour later!
Off to toystory land and 30 minute queue for RC racer, was amazing! Favourite ride! Lots more photos later we went to watch the harvest parade and had food at caseys. Yummy!
Back to Studios to bump in to stars and cars- met woody, Pluto, and goofy. Went back to the hotel for a little rest and then went to dinner at king ludwigs. After we went to explore everywhere in the dark and of course more shopping! (This holiday involved a lot of shopping!) after we all agreed an early night was in order!

Wednesday - Mum and K went to breakfast and had no wait at all and we were all in the parks by 9. Went on space mountain (15 minute wait) and then buzz (15 minute wait)! We watched the villains parade again, from the other side (by accident) and had great interaction with them all as they were going back through the gates. We then went to queue for stitch. Minnie was currently out so we asked the cast member if stitch would be out by the time we got to the front. Yes was the answer (she lied) so we waited for our turn. They took so long with the character interaction that by the time we got to the front stitch had been out and then swapped again. But how can you not love minnie?! The same cast member was gutted for us and kept talking about is with another CM but nothing came of it! Scanned photo pass and on our way. Stitch is a firm favourite of Ks and was the only character he wanted to meet! Watched the harvest parade, with caseys food again and headed back to stars and cars. We stood there for the whole time it was on and they rotates characters 4?! Times. We met and had photos with Stitch!!!!, Lilo, Eeyore, Mulan, Mary poppins and Bert, Goofy, Tigger and met Aladdin and Jasmine but couldn't get a picture in time! A definite highlight of my holiday - I told Bert I loved him (I was genuinely star struck to the point of tears) he said I love you back and Mary hit him around the head saying she's unsure of where his love lies. Hehe. K was jumping up and down after meeting stitch, for someone who was too 'old and cool' to be at disneyland he definitely let it all out then!
Sometime during this day we met a couple villains (queen of hearts and Captain Hook) but can't remember where these slotted in. Anyway.. Back to the hotel for a quick pot noodle and then back to the studios for some rides. Nemo and  ratatouille were 20-30 minute wait. Amazing considering it got up to 80 minutes during the afternoon! After lots of photos, more shopping and then dreams. We sat and waited for about an hour and the stood up with the perfect view, was just as magical as the first time we saw it!

Thursday (our last day in the parks) - It started off really badly. I had a really bad stomach so got off the bus, handed my bag to K and went straight for the toilets. Agreeing to meet in the disney park entrance. They thought I met disney studios so after wandering around for 40 minutes on my own completely panicking my brother came running up to me. Was a horrible and terrifying experience. I'm alright on my own.. Just the fact that I couldn't find them knowing they were there somewhere was horrible. They had gone through to the studios assuming they were the closest toilets. Realising I wasn't there K came out of the studios to try and find me. His card got blocked and they wouldn't let him back to mum. She came out and then security was summoned. K eventually saw me in the distance and ran to me. I then had to prove to security that I was the third person in the group and had to show my driving licence to prove I was me! A warning and blocked cards for 20 minutes we were stuck in the studios! Cars rally was our saviour so after we headed to the disneyland park. Our early morning hours were ruined so everything we had planned, fast passes and queuing for the princesses didnt happen. By this time the princess wait was already 90 minutes! :(
Onwards and upwards we queued for pooh bear. The only one mum wanted! Asked the CM if he would be out by the time we got to the front and she said if he's now wait to the side and let families past. Brilliant! Got to the front and Marie was still out. Waited to the side for 5 minutes and then out came pooh bear. (The CM was standing near us to explain to the families going past us, wish we took her name, Amazing!) Lots of photos and scanned photo pass later we headed for lunch at caseys. Then got a fast pass for buzz! Watched the parade and then it was fast pass time! Scanned our photo card and off we went again! Went and looked around the robinsons(?) tree, more shopping and then went back to pack. Came back in early and watched the motor action show (brilliant) and then it was time for the show on the stairs in the Disneyland hotel. We met mickey and Pluto! A while after it was time for our inventions reservation. It wasn't busy at all by the time we got there and we had amazing interaction with the characters over and over again! We met mickey, minnie, goofy, geppetto, tweedle dee and dum, Gideon, Donald and genie! We hadn't seen genie at our table the whole time we were there so we paid and asked politely if we could meet him before we left. Within seconds we had our photo. He's such a cool character and can't fault the CMs there! One last look around the shops then we sat and waited for dreams. (Here comes the moany bit) we sat and waited at the front for an hour and a half. When it was time for it to start we stood up, as did people down the sides and everyone else behind us was still sitting down. We got shouted at and abused for standing up. If they had asked nicely I would have sat down without a problem. Swearing at we do not take nicely!! K stood to the side behind a group of people already standing (after sitting on the cold hard floor for 1.5 was very uncomfortable). A lady came and shouted at him to sit down right in his face. There must have been about 40 people standing infront of him and not once did they get asked to sit down. K stood his ground and refused to sit down, his space had gone and he wouldn't have been able to see) another man came up and forcefully tried to push him down by his shoulders and then put his finger up in his face touching his nose. We were very very angry and K was completely shook up. Ruined it for us and after the wait we did not enjoy it at all. We didn't know what to do so waited for it to end and then went straight to the hotel. Not a nice way to end the holiday! Please tell me if I'm wrong, but every other night we stood up, everyone stood up all the way to the front! We were only sitting because we were SO early for it. Everyone agreed around us that they wanted to stand and they were being ridiculous but was too scared too! I lost it when they hurt my brother, I didn't care who knew. Shame there are horrible people around!

Friday (Travel day) - We caught the 8.45 VEA transfer and it was dead on time. Got to the airport no problem and everything was on time. Home by 2.30. Holiday was over :(

All in all an amazing holiday and wasn't going to let things ruin the magic that we had otherwise! I want to be back already!! Thanks for reading and sorry for the waffling and moaning!!

Jim Shores Disney Traditions..

 Aren’t they beautiful?

I currently have Sulley and he is my absolute favourite from all of the ones I’ve seen. You can just imagine how cuddly he would be. I think Jim Shore just captures his colours amazingly.

I also have Winnie the Pooh. He is also a firm favourite, Jim captures his sense of loving and caring incredibly well. Who doesn’t want a big bunch of flowers from the cuddliest bear?

My next on the list is Rapunzel, the bright purple is absolutely beautiful and the detail in her hair is stunning. There is also Pascal and who doesn’t love Pascal?

Mulan is also on my list to find and buy. She seems to be VERY rare and I’ve only seen her on eBay. She’s just beautiful, that’s all I can say.

Finally, on my ‘must have’ list is little Stitch. How cheeky is he, his colours, his smile and everything about him just captures him just right. You have to love this cheeky alien.

Which ones do you have? Or who would you like to get?
